One of my favorite things about spring in Puyallup is when the lupines start blooming at Van Lierop Park.
These sweet sisters were so much fun to photograph. They spent the evening hugging, laughing, and enjoying time together while surrounded by the lupines. Van Lierop Park is one of my favorite locations for spring mini sessions because it offers something you just don't see all year long. The blooming lupines create a gorgeous sea of purple flowers that make every session feel a little magical.

The combination of blooming flowers, green grass, and warm evening sunlight creates a beautiful setting that doesn't need much else. Nature does most of the decorating for us.

If you're planning a session during lupine season, soft colors always photograph beautifully.
Some of my favorites include:

Spring is one of the best times of year to update family photos. Everything is starting to bloom, the weather is comfortable, and kids are
