It all started with a contraction and a camera.

In 2012, I officially opened the doors to my photography business—though at the time, those “doors” were the ones to hospital rooms and client homes. I began by capturing the raw, powerful beauty of birth photography and the gentle glow of maternity sessions. There’s something indescribable about being present for those first breaths, first cries, and the emotional rush of becoming a parent. I didn’t know it then, but this passion for documenting life’s biggest milestones was just the beginning.

Friends, family, and a whole lot of faith.

Soon after, I started branching out—first photographing my friends' families, then my brother’s senior portraits. Word spread, and my camera quickly became a tool not just for business, but for connection. Each session helped me grow—not just in skill, but in confidence and direction.

Packing props, chasing light, and dreaming big.

In those early days, I traveled to clients' homes for newborn sessions. While I was honored to be invited into their spaces, I found it challenging to haul props, lighting, and gear—never knowing if the environment would be ideal. After we bought our home in 2012, I began offering in-home studio sessions. It was a step in the right direction, but I still dreamed of having a dedicated studio space to truly bring my vision to life.

Year 2015

When the perfect space meets perfect timing.

A year or two later, that dream became reality. I unexpectedly came across a charming little studio just five minutes from home. At first, it was supposed to be a shared space with another photographer, but when that partnership quickly fell through, I found myself blessed with the opportunity to keep the studio for myself. Looking back, I see God’s hand all over that moment.

He opened the door, and I walked through it—camera in hand and faith in my heart.

One of the most rewarding parts of this journey? Watching the babies I photographed as newborns turn into toddlers… then children… and now teenagers. It’s wild to see how fast time flies when you're doing what you love. These families have invited me into their stories year after year, and I’m incredibly honored to continue preserving their milestones.

A business built on heart, hustle, and answered prayers.
